Product description from producer
Kharkov in 1930, as befits a young republican capital, is full of passions, guests and contradictions. Genius plays are read in the cold depths of theatrical hostels, famous poets fight mice in communal kitchens, but the city does not notice the inconveniences of daily life. In Ukrainian drama, the Berezilian "kurbale" performs brilliantly, and the state opera gives the grand premiere of the country's first "real Soviet ballet. Alas, the premiere is marred by a murder. It is up to unsuited people to investigate the events: an imposing theater critic, a ballerina detached from reality, a student expelled from the Workers' Faculty and a meticulous young library employee are coincidentally transformed into an investigation team. Even the smallest mistake could cost either of them their lives, and there is almost no chance of finding out the truth...
