Product description from producer

Kurt Vonnegut (1922–2007) was an American science fiction writer, widely regarded as one of the most significant American authors of the 20th century. In his works, he skillfully combined elements of satire, dark humor, and science fiction. "The Century's Natural Cruise" is set to begin in 1986. The passengers on the ship "Beagle" (named after the vessel Charles Darwin used to explore the origins of life on Earth in 1835) are heading to the cradle of all existence—the Galápagos archipelago, where Darwin made his groundbreaking discoveries related to the origin of species through natural selection. However, the author sets a trap for his characters. Just as everything returns to its origins, humanity faces extinction in the place where it originated. Yet, in this cruise, akin to Noah's Ark, only the fittest, most adaptable, and flexible representatives of the human species survive. They will become the beginning of the development and evolution of new human beings. However, none of these new civilization representatives will be able to compose Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, and they will no longer possess the vast intellect of their ancestors from a million years ago—back in 1986 when this catastrophe occurred on the Galápagos Islands.
