Product description from producer

Stollen KuchenMeister is a delicate combination of soft, moist dough, dried fruits and almonds, generously dusted with powdered sugar. Stollen is usually baked at Christmas (Christmas stollen is called Weihnachtsstollen or Christstollen). It occupies a special place among the traditional winter delicacies, it is most popular in Germany. Stollen boasts a centuries-old history rich in curiosities. This is an oblong cake with a high content of spices, raisins, nuts, candied fruits and abundantly sprinkled with powdered sugar. In appearance, it should resemble a newborn Jesus wrapped in a snow-white swaddle. These Christmas baked goods have kept their original shape over the centuries. Stollens are baked in advance, sometimes a month before Christmas, and can be stored in a cool place for two to three months. But this does not mean that stollen cannot be eaten right away. A freshly baked product tastes like an Easter cake, and ripened in a cool place for two weeks or a month, it is an average between a cake and a shortcrust pastry. And the longer the stollen matures, the tastier it becomes.
