A perennial herbaceous plant, grown as an annual. The bush is compact, with several thin, knotted stems, 45–60 cm tall. The main stem is distinctly visible. The flowers are large, 4-7 cm in diameter, with a strong fragrance. It begins to bloom 5-6 months after sowing and flowers until autumn (July to October). The flowering duration of a single flower is 5-6 days. The plant is light- and heat-loving but also cold-resistant, withstanding short-term frosts down to -3°C. It does not grow well on heavy or poor sandy soils. It is grown from seedlings. Seeds for seedlings are sown in early January. The sprouts appear after 5-6 days (at a temperature of 16-18°C). Seedlings are transplanted to their permanent location in mid-May. To promote denser and earlier branching, seedlings are pinched when the fifth pair of leaves appears (early April). It is primarily used for cutting, as well as for decorating flowerbeds, borders, and balconies. Cut inflorescences last for at least a week in a vase.
