Zamioculcas is a low herbaceous plant. Its rhizome is tuberous, and the roots are thick and fleshy. Thick and juicy rachis is very necessary for the flower, as it stores water. The leathery feathers are quite dense to the touch. The length of the leaf plate can reach about 100 cm. During a prolonged dry period, the plant sheds leaves from the top of the leaf plate, which reduces moisture evaporation, and the petiole is needed to preserve water for the bush from below. Moisture also accumulates in the underground tuber. A well-grown bush can also begin to bloom when grown at home. A short, thick peduncle emerges from the base of the leaves; it carries a pale cream-colored cob inflorescence.

Flowering. Zamioculcas is grown as an ornamental foliage plant.
Light. A large amount of bright sunlight is required.
Temperature regime. In spring and summer - from 22 to 25 degrees, and in winter - about 16 degrees.
Watering. In spring and summer, the plant is watered immediately after the top layer of the substrate in the pot dries. In the late fall and until spring, watering is reduced. If the flower is placed in a cool place for the winter, then it should be watered only after the earthen lump in the pot has completely dried out.
Humidity. It grows well at a level of air humidity that is typical for living quarters. However, on hot days, its leaves need to be regularly moistened with warm water from a sprayer.
Fertilizers. From the second half of the spring period until the end of summer, the bush is fed once every 15 days, for this purpose, fertilizers for succulents and cacti are used. The rest of the time, the plant does not need to be fed.
Dormant period. From the last autumn weeks to early spring.
Transplantation. It is carried out only when necessary, usually once every 2-4 years. This procedure is carried out in spring or summer.
Soil mixture. A suitable substrate should consist of sand, garden, vegetable garden and forest soil (5:2:2:2). A small amount of charcoal is added to the finished soil.
Propagation. Leaf cuttings and rhizome division.
