Bonsai is an ornamental plant that will be a great addition to your interior. This small tree-like species requires careful maintenance to preserve its beauty and compactness.

Features of care:

Temperature: Bonsai should be placed in a room with a temperature of 18-24°C. In summer, the plant can be taken out into the open, gradually accustoming it to direct sunlight. Increase the time spent in the sun by half an hour every day.

Lighting: Bonsai needs sunlight, but there should not be too much direct sunlight. It is best if the plant receives 1-2 hours of sunlight per day. For optimal conditions, place the plant in a well-lit place.

Watering: Water for irrigation should be minimally saline. It is best to use rainwater or mix ordinary water with distilled or ionized water in a 1:1 ratio. Watering should be done when the top layer of soil dries out by 1-1.5 cm, until water begins to come out of the drainage holes.

Transplantation: When transplanting, the crown is first cut off, after which up to 2/3 of the root system growing under the trunk is carefully removed. Only the lateral roots are left. Then clay granulate is poured into the bottom of the pot, and then the plant is planted. The soil for bonsai consists of equal parts clay, sand, and potting soil.
