This type of corn is represented by grains separated from floral film and partially from fruit and seed covers, and then ground and rubbed. Depending on the size of grains polished corn is divided into five sorts indicated by numbers: 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. Our company produces corn from “Kremnisty” and “Poluzubovidny” sorts of the plant (№3 and №4). The colour of corn is either yellow or yellow-and-white. Corn is one of the most ancient cultivated plants of the Earth. Corn (maize) was cultivated by the Indians of Peru, Bolivia and Mexico as early as 5200 BC. The Aztecs and the tribes of Maya regarded it as a sacred plant. The grains of corn contain starch – up to 83%, fats – up to 10%, proteins – up to 13%, fats – up to 12%, vitamins В1, В2, В6, P, РР, biotin, nicotinic and pantothenic acids, cellulose – up to 2,8%. They include gold, selenium and silicon. Corn grain contains amino acids that are very valuable for an organism, because they cannot be synthesized in a human body. These amino acids are tryptophane and lysine. Glutamic, contained in corn, is widely used in treatment of neuritis, progressing muscular dystrophy, psychoses, epilepsy, poliomyelitis.
